Our Locations
The DJL Tech department is the Technical Diving branch of Davy Jones Locker Diving (DJL). DJL has a long history of diver training in various locations around the globe, especially in the South East Asia area. The DJL Tech deparment operates out of two locations in Thailand. The headquarters is on the island of Koh Tao in the Gulf Of Thailand. We also offer a number or Tech courses at our second base, on the idyllic island of Koh Lipe which is situated on the west coast near the Malaysian border.
We operate all year round on Koh Tao due to consistent good weather and a very short rainy season. This usually starts at the beginning of November and lasts between 4 and 6 weeks. High season on Koh Lipe starts in October and finishes at the end of April as there is a longer monsoon season on the west cost of Thailand.
The nature of tech diving means that certain activities such as cave diving or deep wreck exploration aren’t always available nearby. This isn’t a problem however as in these circumstances an expedition will be organised. This opens up the possibility of travelling and diving anywhere in Thailand.
