Post by Leo: Is Thailand friendly towards lone female travelers?
DJL Response:
Thailand gets many visitors so traveling in Thailand is no problem. Here on Koh Tao, we get a roughly male - female mix of Divemaster trainees, plus there are many girls living here on Koh Tao, working as instructors - you won’t feel left out!

When do internships start? What id the best time to come to Koh Tao?
DJL Diving Reply;
We dive 12 months of the year - our internships are a rolling program so the start date is up to you.
The best time in terms of diving conditions is either April/May [great visibility and whale shark season] or in September. Either March or July - August is a good time for training as these are our peak seasons - lots of day-to-day customers so you get great hands on experience [plus many working opportunities on graduation as a PADI Divemaster].
