Learn how to locate and record an underwater feature or wreck.
At DJL we use these techniques every time we go wreck diving, so who better to learn from!
We'll cover the use of surface instruments such as GPS and sonar. Next, you'll learn about deploying suraface buoys and a shot line over the mark, and surveying the area some more with the sonar to reduce the amount of work you do on the bottom.
Underwater, we'll cover compass work and search pattern such as a circular search or expanding square.
So it all goes well - you find your undiscovered Dutch Indiaman, and lying out on the sand is a chest of gold. Unfortunatly it's too heavy to lift using your BCD. In this course we'll teach you how you can safely lift and recover it, using lift bags. Great fun and very practical for our expedition diving.
