Course Contents
Enriched air nitrox is a gas blend of nitrogen and oxygen, where we add more oxygen than normal air (i.e. more than 21%). The benefit of this is that our nitrogen intake is lower so our no decompression limits are longer. This is especially benefial when making dives in the twenty to thirty metres range.
Another big application for nitrox is liveaboard diving. If you are doing three or four dives per day, your cumulative nitrogen uptake start to mount up. You can control this if you switch onto nitrox and lower your nitrogen loadings.
Understand the subject of Enriched Air Nitrox diving. This comprehensive course covers the safety aspects of using Nitrox mixing and analysis and the management and organization of dives using Nitrox.
