BSAC Crossovers for dive professionals from other Agencies

Confined Water Training

This four day instructor crossover program is aimed at existing instructors who hold a qualification from other reputable diving agencies and who wish to obtain the BSAC instructor grade.

At the end of the crossover you will be qualified as a BSAC Open Water Instructor.

The course consists of the instructor foundation course (IFC), Open Water Instructor Course (OWIC), and both the practical and theory examinations.

Here's the breakdown:

1. BSAC Instructor Foundation Course (IFC)

The first step in qualifying as a BSAC Diving Instructor, is to attend the two day IFC, where the essential elements of instruction are taught. The comprehensive student pack provides candidates with course notes and a copy of the BSAC Manual 'Teaching Scuba Diving'.

2. BSAC Open Water Instructor Course (OWIC)

This one day course which combines both classroom and practical activities is designed to develop the Assistant Instructor's skills so they are better prepared to teach trainees in open water.

3. Combine Theory and Practical Examinations (TIE & PIE)

The final stage is a two day assessment of the candidates theoretical and practical teaching ability.

The program includes all BSAC study manuals, student notes, BSAC membership, plus a set of BSAC decompression dive tables.
